neon>fdv presenta dall’11 marzo al 7 aprile 2008 “new season, no_reason”, mostra collettiva di chiusura del primo ciclo di mostre del progetto short show.
I colori nell’armadio cambiano come il peso dei tessuti; scarpe e accessori azzardano stili piùaudaci.Spesso è il momento delle privazioni e delle insicurezze legate al rito orgiastico della prova costume. In casi meno estremi è sufficiente un nuovo taglio di capelli, per rinfrescare la propria immagine.
L’arrivo della nuova stagione può essere il pretesto per svecchiare l’armadio con inutili e transitorie proposte moda dell’ultima ora.
Le stagioni possono essere i macroperiodi di una vita, con tempi dilatati, diversi e individuali.
La nuova stagione, spesso, si attende per voglia di cambiamento, ma nella maggioranza dei casi si tramuta in portatrice sana di temporanei e puntualissimi malesseri: spossatezza, disturbi del sonno, sbalzi d’umore, allergie e problemi respiratori.
Letteralmente una stagione è ciascuna delle quattro parti, di tre mesi ognuna, in cui l'anno solare è diviso dagli equinozi e dai solstizi, nella moda si allunga a un semestre che le contiene tutte a coppie di due. Nello spettacolo equivale al periodo di tempo stabilito per una serie di rappresentazioni. Nello sport corrisponde al periodo in cui si svolgono le competizioni del calendario annuale. In politica parlare di nuova stagione spesso è sinonimo di evoluzione e metafora per molte inettitudini elettorali.
Esistono mezze stagioni, o forse non esistono più e senza indicarne una connotazione fisica specifica, nel turismo, si parla di basse e alte stagioni.

C’è da chiedersi quale sia la stagione nel giardino psichedelico di Felice Serreli nel quale s’incontrano gli uccellini innamorati di Andreas Märker. Esiste una stagione dello spirito in cui matura la ricerca del Mistero della Fede, attraverso la visione ingenua di Mario, l’astronauta italiano di Marco Belfiore. Esiste una stagione esistenziale dove s’indaga l’effettiva unicità di ogni individuo tramite segni distintivi del corpo di T-Yong Chung.
C’è una stagione buia, temibile e ignota dove il volo di un uccello resta impigliato in tralci acuminati per Marta Pierobon, dove goliardici studenti del college passeggiano su tizzoni ardenti come inutile atto dimostrativo per Federico Spadoni oppure esiste la stagione imprevedibile, quando il pericolo è camuffato nella quotidianità delle cose, come per Jacopo Candotti.
C’è la stagione degli slogan, delle bandiere, dei manifesti per soddisfare un adolescenziale attestato di presenza che accomuna la riflessione di Marta Karantzi e Stefano Mandracchia.
Una delle esigenze più comuni è quella di ricercare l’origine specifica delle cose. Accettare che spesso non esista effettivamente una ragione ma che alcune azioni siano scandite da un moto perpetuo inerziale, come quello stagionale, non è sufficiente a soddisfare il bisogno di informazione.
Non sentire ragione, persistendo in un proposito, in un atteggiamento, con fermezza irragionevole e ingiustificata implica un’irremovibile e caparbia volontà, impuntandosi e intestardendosi in un imperativo assoluto senza diritto di smentita.

e su appuntamento: paola gallio 3492800618, davide tomaiuolo 3494275107short show# è un progetto che presenta nello spazio neon>fdv un solo lavoro di un giovane artista per la durata di dieci giorni. Gli appuntamenti del progetto short show# non hanno una cadenza prestabilita ma si inseriscono, secondo opportunità e secondo necessità, nella programmazione della galleria. La scelta di proporre mostre della durata massima di dieci giorni risponde all’esigenza di dare spazio ad un ampio ventaglio di proposte, e nello stesso tempo alla volontà di non caricare di attenzione eccessiva quella che nelle nostre intenzioni deve essere una sorta di verifica di lavori in corso. Saranno mostre caratterizzate da un approccio sperimentale, una sorta di verifica sul campo di quanto sta accadendo in questo preciso momento. Dunque nulla di definitivo, nessuna volontà di disegnare una situazione o di costruire un vivaio di giovani artisti da immettere sul mercato: piuttosto una selezione di 'campioni' su cui condurre in tempo reale una verifica del clima complessivo. La presentazone degli artisti sarà affidata ad un giovane curatore dando vita così ad una sinergia di esperienze che si collocano tra gli obbiettivi di neon>fdv.

Il blog http://shortshow.splinder.com/ nasce come un’interzona pubblica per raccogliere il feedback dell’esperienza in atto: piattaforma di confronto e di conversazione che consente di raccogliere pareri, opinioni, assensi e dissensi, seguendo step to step le varie fasi dei lavoro in corso, sin dall’allestimento.

The colors in one’s closet change like the weight of the fabrics; shoes and accessories risk more audacious styles. Often it is the moment of privations and insecurities tied to the orgiastic rite of trying on clothes. In less extreme cases a new haircut is sufficient to refresh one’s own image.
The arrival of the new season can be a pretext for re-modernizing one’s closet with the latest useless and transitory fashion suggestions.
The seasons can be the macro-periods of a life, with enlarged, different, and individual times.
The new season is often awaited with a desire for change, but in the majority of cases it becomes a healthy bringer of punctual and temporary malaise: exhaustion, sleep disturbances, mood swings, allergies, and respiratory problems.
A season is literally each of the four parts, each of three months’ duration, into which the solar year is divided by equinoxes and solstices,in such a way that each season becomes a semester that contains all the seasons in pairs. In theater, it is equivalent to the period of time established for a series of representations. In sports, it corresponds to the period in which competitions of the calendar year occur. In politics, speaking about the new season is often a synonym of evolution and metaphor for many electoral ineptitudes.
Half-seasons exist, or perhaps they exist no longer; and without indicating a specific physical connotation, in tourism one speaks of low and high seasons.
It remains to ask oneself what season it is in Felice Serreli’s psychedelic garden, in which Andreas Märker’s birds in love meet. There exists a season of the spirit in which the research of the Mystery of Faith grows through the ingenuous vision of Mario, Marco Belfiore’s Italian astronaut. An existential season also exists where the effective uniqueness of every individual is investigated through distinctive signals of T-Yong Chung’s body. There is a dark, terrible, and unknown season where a bird’s flight is stopped in vines barbed by Marta Pierobon, or where college students promenade upon burning embers as a useless demonstrative act in Federico Spadoni’s work; there also exists an unpredictable season, when danger is camouflaged in the everyday nature of things, as for Jacopo Candotti.
There is the season of slogans, of flags, of posters to satisfy an adolescent declaration of one’s presences that the reflections of Marta Karantzi and Stefano Mandracchia have in common.
One of the most common needs is that of finding the specific origin of things. Accepting that often a reason does not effectively exist but that some actions are generated by a perpetual and inert motion, like seasonal motion, is not sufficient to satisfy one’s need for information.
Not to listen to reason, persisting in a purpose, in a behavior, with irrational and unjustified stubbornness implies an obstinate and inflexible will, imputing itself with and insisting upon an absolute imperative without the right of denial.
new season no_reason.

short show is a project that presents one work by a young artist for the duration of ten days in neon>fdv. The dates of the short show project do not have a predetermined schedule, but rather introduce themselves as opportunity and necessity arise in the gallery's schedule. The choice of proposing exhibitions with the maximum duration of ten days accommodates the need to give voice to a wide range of proposals as well as the desire to avoid focusing excessively on what, in our mind, should be an examination of works in progress. These exhibitions will be characterized by an experimental approach, an investigation on the level of what is happening in this precise moment. There will thus be no definitive element within the work, no desire to create a situation or to construct a breeding ground for young artists to be put on the market: it is rather a selection of ‘samples’ on which an investigation of the global climate will be conducted in real time. The presentation of the artists will be entrusted to a young curator, thus giving life to a synergy of experiences that are among the goals of neon>fdv.
